Hi,

On 5th August, our team and 400 wonderful volunteers are heading to Bath and West Showground to set up for the 5th annual Satellites festival: ‘Look Up’. Please pray that these preparations will go as smoothly as possible.

The following day, we’re expecting around 4000 young people & youth leaders to join us. So, your prayers mean a great deal to us - as we seek to make the festival a safe, fun, and welcoming space for young people, some of whom will be away from home for the first time!

The local team, youth leaders from Luton Unite, and a group of young people from Luton will also be arriving. Please pray for these youth workers as they care for, serve, and share their faith; and pray that Satellites will be a life-changing experience for these young people.

This year’s theme is ‘Look Up’. We want young people to know how amazing God is. He’s in every way magnificent: His words, His creation, His actions. So, in order to know Him better, we’re going to ‘Look Up’ together. Pray that God will move in the hearts of young people throughout the event, and after it too!

Later this month, young people will be receiving their A Level and GCSE results. It can feel like these define their future, and - if they don’t receive the results they want - they may feel despondent and unsure about what’s next. Pray for peace, especially for those who are worried about the impact their results will have on their plans for September. Pray too, for their families and friends - that they’ll help to make this nerve-wracking process as painless as possible.

Finally, we’d be very grateful of your prayers for us as a team, as we take a well-earned break after Satellites! It’s been quite a year, so we’re in need of some time to rest and recharge... before we begin again in September!

1st (Sat)	The local team are taking quite a few Year 7s & 8s to Satellites, (for some it’ll be their first time at an event like this). Pray they’ll engage well & have a great week. Pray too for patience & sleep for the team!
2nd (Sun)	For Charles - finalising the content for Satellites Kids. Pray it’ll excite the next generation about faith, & help them build their relationship with God. Pray too for the Satellites Kids team.
3rd (Mon)	Please pray for God’s peace, wisdom, & for energy for us as a team - as we prepare for the festival. And for all the youth leaders preparing to bring their young people to Satellites.
4th (Tue)	Pray for the speakers & worship team coming to Satellites. Pray for them as they prepare to address the young people, that God will inspire them with insightful & relevant words to share.
5th (Wed)	Pray for the health & wellbeing of the Youthscape team & all the wonderful volunteers as they travel to, & set up for the festival today. Pray too for God’s protection over the whole Satellites team for the coming week.
6th (Thu)	Pray that everything will run smoothly as the delegates arrive today, & that there will be a friendly & fun atmosphere - so that everyone will feel welcome right from the start!
7th (Tue)	Pray for local young people attending Satellites with the Youthscape & Luton Unite team. That they’ll enjoy time away, that there is unity in the group, & that they will learn more about the Christian faith.
8th (Sat)	For young people at Satellites who do not yet have a relationship with God. Pray that they’ll meet & hear from Him for the first time whilst they’re away.
9th (Sun)	For the Youthscape Central venue: A place for youth leaders to meet to receive prayer support, be encouraged, rest, & feel refreshed. A sanctuary at one of the busiest times of the youth workers’ year!
10th (Mon)	Pray for young people who’ve become Christians this week, especially as they head home tomorrow, back to normal life.
11th (Tue)	Please pray for safe journeys for all the youth groups & young people as they head home later today. And pray for a final burst of energy for the team as we pack everything away at the end of a busy week.
12th (Wed)	Pray for families who depend on free school meals to ensure their children have enough to eat, as they face the additional financial pressures of the summer break.
13th (Thu)	A Level results are due today. Pray for young people starting university this autumn; especially for those whose results will mean they need to go through clearing or retake exams.
14th (Fri)	Sam joined the Youthscape team at the end of July. He’s working as part of the Central team to cover Alex DuRand’s maternity leave. Pray he will learn everything quickly & enjoy being part of the team.
15th (Sat)	Pray for young people who are missing the refuge & support they find at school over the summer holidays.
16th (Sun)	Some young people struggle with the change of routine & lack of structure that school holidays bring. Pray for them over the holiday period, especially for those who do not feel safe at home.
17th (Mon)	Pray for school staff - that the summer holidays will be a positive time of rest & relaxation for them.
18th (Tue)	The Launchpad & Youthscape Essentials facilitators & hosts are taking a break over August. Pray that they’re able to take some time to rest & feel refreshed.

20th (Thu)	Pray for young people receiving their GCSE results today, as they prepare for college, further education & apprenticeships.
21st (Fri)	Pray for Robson who has recently started work with Hannah on the Research team.
22nd (Sat)	Pray for those who’ve attended YSE & Launchpad training this year. That they’ll have increased their knowledge & skills, & have a better understanding of how to engage young people in the Christian faith.
23rd (Sun)	Pray for young people who’ve been waiting over the summer to start Alumina in September. Pray too for the Alumina team, & for more volunteers to join them.
24th (Mon)	Pray for God’s hope to flood young people’s lives & meet them wherever they are.
25th (Tue)	For the team who are updating & writing new material for the Youthscape Essentials Course; pray that God will inspire them & grant them wisdom as they work together.
26th (Wed)	This month, pray for young people transitioning from primary schools to high school, for those moving on from high school to college, & for those leaving education or going on to university.
27th (Thu)	Praise God for all the Drop In & Alumina volunteers who have worked so tirelessly this year.
28th (Fri)	Pray for the Diocese of Peterborough - who are beginning the preparation process with our National team for their first Launchpad cohort.
29th (Sat)	As the Youthscape team come back to work, pray that we’ll feel refreshed & ready for the new school year ahead.
30th (Sun)	Pray for Christian young people, that they will grow in faith over the coming school year.
31st (Mon)	Pray for our new resource release: Unfold Season 3 - Journey to the Cross. That youth groups will engage well with the material, as they explore the events leading up to Jesus’ death & resurrection.
