Hi,

February may be cold and dark, but spring is on the way, and the Satellites team are busy preparing for this year's festival, taking place in Somerset, from 6th - 10th August.

Satellites is a 5 day gathering, designed to inspire teenagers to live with God at the centre of their lives for the other 360 days of the year. And, as well as providing opportunities to explore and learn more about the Christian faith, there will be a full-on programme of art, sport, activities, relaxation, and fun!

Over the past couple of years, we’ve been privileged to hear many wonderful stories and testimonies from people who have been to Satellites. Here are just a few:

“I came to Satellites with no hope, covered in addiction but Satellites changed that, I felt God’s presence and his power over me...” (Young person)

“[Satellites] helped our group open up and become more comfortable; we now pray for each other, open up and talk about struggles” (Young person)

“Watching our young people with social difficulties grow in courage and confidence makes the hard work worthwhile. In that respect it’s been an absolute pleasure to witness Jesus encounter with us all.” (Youth leader)

“It was great to have so much about the Bible there, main talks and seminars. The young people are looking for a firm foundation and the Bible is that and they love it. I had a couple of talks with them about how it’s an unchanging truth, that’s what they’re looking for in life” (Team member)

This month, please pray with us - for all the young people, youth workers, volunteers and church leaders who are still thinking of joining us in August. As well as for Martin, Rosie and the Satellites team, who are working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready for August.
