Hi,

It’s nearly 10 years since we moved into Bute Mills - and it has truly transformed the work of Youthscape!

Many of you were involved in the enormous fundraising campaign to buy this old steam mill in the centre of Luton and convert it into a fantastic centre for young people, as well as the national base for our work.

However, I don’t think any of us realised how much impact it would have. Thousands of young people have come to activities and our Drop In at Bute Mills over the last decade. Schools have referred some of their most challenging students. Churches have joined us for countless special youth events. Young people have stayed overnight, (sorry again, to the neighbours), and the fire brigade have been called at least five times (never a fire, it turns out).

Our staff have had the space to run our national projects and create some of the most exciting youth work resources available. It’s a million miles from the cramped building we occupied before we moved here.

No wonder visitors from all over the UK and Europe have come to learn from us about creating and running youth facilities. This wonderful old building, derelict when we bought it, has been brought back to life to serve the young people, the church and the community.

So, all of those prayers and dontations have made a huge difference - and we’re just getting started. This month we have a special afternoon tea at Bute Mills, on Sunday 22nd June. You can pop in between 3pm and 5pm, and see how the building’s fared over the last ten years. But the story isn’t just told in bricks and mortar - it’s also being told in the lives of thousands of young people finding hope and transformation. Come along and be inspired all over again about how we can help even more young people.

1st (Sun)	Pray for the Launchpad celebration events taking place this month: Canterbury (2nd), Bath & Wells (12th), & Chelmsford (16th). Hosting clergy who took part in Launchpad courses last term.
2nd (Mon)	Volunteers Week is celebrated between the 2nd & the 8th of June. Pray for people who give their time, skills & passion to support the work of Youthscape & Satellites, locally & nationally.
3rd (Tue)	Pray for the young people participating in our Compass group, taking place on Tuesdays this term. Pray that being part of this course would make a positive & lasting difference to their lives.
4th (Wed)	Many young people are making decisions about the future: further education, jobs, etc. Please pray for wisdom & support for them as they explore different options.
5th (Thu)	Please pray that people will continue to sign up for our Satellites volunteer team - especially in the less popular areas, (e.g. for night stewarding!).
6th (Fri)	June’s Luton Unite event is happening tonight at St Hugh's Church. Pray for all those involved; that it would be a fun & safe event for everyone.
7th (Sat)	Pray that youth groups around the country will be inviting even more young people to join us at Satellites this summer. And for youth groups as they invite non-Christian young people to join them too.
8th (Sun)	Pray for the young people from Luton Unite, who will be leading prayers at Pentecost Praise today.
9th (Mon)	Please pray for the team delivering the Youthscape & St Mellitus Annual Lecture, 'Anxious About a Generation', this evening. Pray too - for the keynote speaker, Andrew Root. https://www.youthscape.co.uk/l...
10th (Tue)	The Youthscape podcast now reaches thousands of youth leaders around the world. Please pray for the podcast team as they work hard to resource youth workers, & pray that youth workers will continue to find it useful & encouraging.
11th (Wed)	Please pray for the new Launchpad courses beginning this term: in Guildford, Durham, London, Hereford, & Ely. That God will equip those attending to be able to work with young people in their communities.
12th (Thu)	As Fearless begins - pray for the team leading the course, & for the new group of young people meeting together for the first time. Pray too for the Luton team, who have a funder coming to visit Fearless & Drop-in today.
13th (Fri)	Pray for young people accessing Alumina. So many are carrying such big emotions & difficult stories. Pray that we are able to support them, & that they will be able to access help closer to home as well.
14th (Sat)	Pray for God’s peace, wisdom & for energy for the Satellites team; as they prepare for the festival. And for all the youth leaders preparing to bring their young people to Satellites.
15th (Sun)	Pray for children & young people living with special educational needs, & disabilities. For the challenges they & their families face on a day-to-day basis.
16th (Mon)	Pray for the Satellites volunteer team, as they gather together today for prayer, & to meet to hear about this year's festival. Please pray for shared vision, encouragement, & a great time together.
17th (Tue)	We are raising funds for local young people to attend Satellites. Pray that enough funding will be received to enable any young people who want to come, to be able to come without any financial worries.
18th (Wed)	Pray for the Youthscape Drop In community: our staff, volunteers, & the young people. Pray that Drop In will be a safe & nurturing environment, a place where positive relationships can flourish.
19th (Thu)	For the National Church Training team who are travelling to Dioceses around the country. For safety as they travel, & pray that they'll be an encouragement & support - as they see more & more churches start youth work from scratch!
20th (Fri)	Pray for the young people who are attending the Luton Unite One discipleship group tonight, that their faith would grow through being part of this community.
21st (Sat)	Please pray for the Satellites team; as they recruit volunteers, run DBS checks, & co-ordinate a complex team, as well as organising the festival programme.
22nd (Sun)	Today is our annual Supporters Afternoon Tea, taking place at Bute Mills, (3pm - 5pm). Praise God for our wonderful, faithful supporters, & the difference that the support has made to the lives of young people.
23rd (Mon)	As we bring together youth group leaders who are planning to come to Satellites today; pray that they’ll feel supported, encouraged, & excited about Satellites 2025.
24th (Tue)	Pray for teachers & staff in our local schools; working long hours, with so much expected of them.
25th (Wed)	Pray for the Innovation team, as they work on developing resources that have a deadline. Pray that they will be able to balance the time available, whilst doing the best possible job.
26th (Thu)	For the Launchpad facilitators in Oxford & Portsmouth Diocese, who are preparing for their first Launchpad cohorts, & inviting members of the clergy this term.
27th (Fri)	Pray for young carers, as they try to balance their role alongside school work, & trying to find time to spend with their friends.
28th (Sat)	Pray for God's healing & restoration for young people who have experienced trauma & hardship in their lives.
29th (Sun)	Pray for the final Alumina groups of this academic year. That they are well timed for the young people involved, & that the team are able to provide support for those young people at this time.
30th (Mon)	Pray for young people going through a period of change - whether coming to the end of their education, moving to a new high school/college, or preparing for university.
