1st (Mon)

1st - 7th June: National Volunteers Week. Thank God for all the people who give their time, skills, & passion to support the work of Youthscape, Alumina, & Satellites.

2nd (Tue)

A new cohort of young people start the summer term Compass course today. Pray that they'll settle in quickly, enjoy being part of the course, & that it will make a long-lasting difference to their lives.

3rd (Wed)

This month, we’re holding interviews to find someone to work on the Finance Team, (as maternity cover). Pray that we’re able to find someone who can pick things up quickly & who has the right skills for the job.

4th (Thu)

The latest Fearless group’s graduation is taking place at Bute Mills today. Pray for the young people as they reflect on all the things they have learned, & pray that it will make a tangible difference to their future.

5th (Fri)

Pray for the team leading Luton Unite this evening, & pray that the young people will have fun together, & that they’ll learn more about faith.

6th (Sat)

Pray for Gemma (Milligan), who’s on sabbatical in June, that this time will be refreshing, relaxing, & restorative. Pray too for the local team, as they manage everything whilst Gemma’s away.

7th (Sun)

For Christian girls attending the Local team’s Abide Course this year, pray that, in their monthly gatherings, they’ll grow in their faith, in confidence, & knowledge of who they are in God.

8th (Mon)

Emily & Millie have recently joined the Satellites team. Please pray that they settle in well to their new roles, especially as there are only a few weeks to go before this year’s festival.

9th (Tue)

Our Sponsor a Camper scheme is raising funds for young people to attend Satellites. Pray that enough funding will be received to enable any young people who want to be there to be able to attend.

10th (Wed)

Pray for the new Alumina groups starting in June, & for the new Alumina volunteers as they begin work with these vulnerable young people.

11th (Thu)

On Thursday mornings, Jermaine & Ebony are running ‘Beyond the Pitch’, (a local team football project), which is in Challney Boys' School this term. Pray for Jermaine & Ebony, & for the young people taking part.

12th (Fri)

Pray that God will be prompting & inspiring lots more volunteers to sign up for the Team at Satellites. We need more people to help the event run smoothly & safely.

13th (Sat)

Pray for the Youthscape Essentials Course filming taking place today - telling the stories of different young people from around the country, as well as updating the course materials.

14th (Sun)

New young people are signing up to Alumina this month. They will have a bit of a wait over the summer before the next groups start. Pray that they feel supported & safe whilst they are waiting to join a group.

15th (Mon)

Pray for the ongoing fundraising efforts for Satellites - that God will provide finances so we are able to run the event well.

16th (Tue)

16th-17th June: Community of learning events in Leeds & London. Pray for the people we partner with around the UK - who deliver our Youthscape Essentials & Launchpad courses to others.

17th (Wed)

Pray for youth groups who are coming to Satellites, & for the groups who're adding additional young people, especially non-Christians, pray that they’ll have an amazing & positive experience.

18th (Thu)

Luton Unite Deeper takes place this evening. Pray for the young people exploring the Christian faith together.

19th (Fri)

Pray for clergy taking part in current Launchpad courses, (in Ely, Bristol, Chelmsford, Birmingham, & Guilford), that they’ll feel encouraged, & will grow in confidence & knowledge to serve young people.

20th (Sat)

With Luton Borough Council’s huge building project currently taking place next to Bute Mills, pray that, (as the building site progresses), the noise won’t affect our work, Drop In, & room hires.

21st (Sun)

27% of children in the UK are living in poverty’ (from End Child Poverty Coalition report). Pray for families, that they'll be able to find support, & that more will be done systemically to support people in poverty.

22nd (Mon)

Pray that God would provide healing & restoration for young people who have experienced trauma & hardship in their lives.

23rd (Tue)

Pray for the health & wellbeing of teachers & staff in our local schools.

24th (Wed)

Pray for those in leadership & government, especially those making decisions that affect young people, schools, & families. May those in power make choices governed by compassion & wisdom.

25th (Thu)

Pray for group leaders preparing for Launchpad courses starting in the autumn, through Bishop’s Briefing events & Parish visits - in Hereford, Durham, Oxford: Berkshire, & Oxford: Milton Keynes.

26th (Fri)

Our podcast reaches youth leaders around the world. Please pray for the podcast team as they work hard to resource youth workers, & pray that youth workers will find the podcast encouraging & insightful.

27th (Sat)

Today, Churches Together in Luton are leading Praise in the Park in Wardown Park. Pray for our local team, who will be there providing a space for young people to connect & have fun.

28th (Sun)

School can be a very daunting & difficult place for some young people. Pray for those who are struggling to make friends, who are lonely, & for those experiencing bullying.

29th (Mon)

Young people across the UK are making decisions about further education, training & jobs. Pray for wisdom & support for them as they look to the future in such uncertain times.

30th (Tue)

For young people in the UK, & around the world. Pray that they’ll be agents of change as they grow up, & that they might transform the church & the world positively.
