Hi,

Welcome to our prayer diary for March, and thank you for praying with us through the month ahead.

I know many of you have been supporting us for some years! And some of the young people you have been praying for during this time are now grown up and working at Youthscape as adults. Which is pretty amazing!

But that's what we want isn't it? For young people to find a faith that is rich and deep and lasts a lifetime. Research tells us that four things are especially important for young Christians if their faith is going to really last.

Firstly - that they are helped to learn Christian spiritual practices like prayer. Secondly - that they have positive intergenerational relationships within the church community - meaning they get to know older Christians and see how their faith is working. Thirdly - that they have practical opportunities to express their faith in service, both inside and outside the church. And finally, that they can confidently apply Christian beliefs to their everyday lives and experience.

When the church helps young people with these four things, it’s much easier for young people to not only grow in their faith, but grow faith that will last a lifetime.

And what does that mean for us? Well, we’re working on helping churches do more of these four things... That’s part of Youthscape’s vision, in our training, our resources, and in so many other ways. And your prayers are part of how we’ll get there.
