It’s Black History Month. Pray that schools engage positively with conversations about restoration, anti-racism, & racial justice. And pray that the importance of racial justice would be more visible in our society.

2nd (Thu)

Pray for Ethan in his role at the LYCIG, (Leading Your Church into Growth), new youth conference, (2nd - 4th October): training leaders to grow youth ministry in their churches.

3rd (Fri)

Pray for Chris & Martin; participating in an international congress on youth ministry in Indiana, USA. Pray that God will inspire them both, & enable them to share wise insights with the delegates.

4th (Sat)

Pray for those attending our Youthscape Essentials Autumn course this term. That they will grow in skills, confidence, & that their faith will deepen as they take part in the course.

5th (Sun)

Pray for all the Alumina groups running this half-term. Pray that they will make a positive & lasting difference to the lives of the young people taking part. Pray that these groups will start & finish well.

6th (Mon)

Pray for the Research Team today, as they meet with their Ethics & Research Advisory Board. And praise God for the support the Board voluntarily provide to our Centre for Research.

7th (Tue)

Pray for Compass, starting tomorrow; for Emily & the local team, & for the young people - that they will engage well with the programme. Pray too, that Compass will have a lasting positive impact on their lives.

8th (Wed)

Pray for young people around the UK who are struggling. That they will be brave enough to ask for help, & for this to be met with a positive response, & meaningful support.

9th (Thu)

Pray for young people experiencing racism, & for those whose families have immigrated to the UK for safety, or work, that they will feel safe. Pray for God’s protection, particularly in the light of recent tensions in the UK.

10th (Fri)

Today is World Mental Health day: Pray that God will equip staff & youth workers who work with young people struggling with their mental health, so that they will be able to support them well.

11th (Sat)

Pray for youth groups using ‘Unfold 2’. The latest instalment of the Youthscape Bible study resource. Each unfold of the 5 giant Bible study pages reveals a new challenge for the group to complete together.

12th (Sun)

Pray for the team working on next month’s National youth ministry weekend, as they brief speakers, plan logistics, & answer queries about the event.

13th (Mon)

In the UK there are now 4.5 million* children living in poverty, (*CPAG), affecting every part of their lives. Pray families are able to find meaningful support, & for more to be done systemically to help people.

14th (Tue)

Pray for youth workers, teachers, youth leaders, & volunteers, who are feeling exhausted, struggling with their mental health, or feeling unsupported - that they will be able to find the support they need.

15th (Wed)

Pray for those completing the Youthscape Essentials course, that they’ll be able to move confidently into youth ministry. May what they’ve learnt bear fruit, & may they continue to feel enthusiastic & courageous.

16th (Thu)

Pray for Jeff, who designs & manages our website. We keep him very busy, so please pray for him as he manages his work with Youthscape alongside the other organisations he works with.

17th (Fri)

Pray for people hiring our rooms, representing local charities, businesses & christian organisations. Pray that more people will find out about our room hire, as the money raised helps finance our work.

18th (Sat)

Pray for young people who are homeless; sleeping on the streets, or in short term accommodation, facing an uncertain future. That services will be able to reach them & help them, & that they won’t slip through the net.

19th (Sun)

Volunteers are an important part of our work at Youthscape. Please pray that more people would feel called to volunteer, serving our local young people, & the wider youth work community.

20th (Mon)

Our Research team have applied for funding for a large piece of research. Pray for the funding organisation’s trustees meeting - for a positive outcome.

21st (Tue)

On 22nd & 23rd October, our Research team will be in Blackburn, visiting Rachel Gardner’s church, to share more about the Translating God research with those in and around Blackburn.

22nd (Wed)

Pray for clergy taking part in a new pilot of Launchpad, led by the ‘Kenelm Trust’. Pray for increased Knowledge & confidence, & for the course to prepare & shape plans for starting new youth work.

23rd (Thu)

Pray for Luton Unite Deeper - taking place today, equipping young people to serve & lead in their churches & at Luton Unite events, & helping them to feel confident about sharing their faith with friends.

24th (Fri)

Pray that God will bless the work of the local team, as they work with young people in Luton. And pray too for the young people they are working with.

25th (Sat)

Pray for the leadership team & the board of trustees; as they seek God’s wisdom & guidance in their roles overseeing the work of Youthscape.

26th (Sat)

Pray for the young people who came to Satellites - that God will continue to grow their faith.

27th (Mon)

Pray for vulnerable young people, families living in poverty, & for those with abusive or chaotic family relationships. That they would be able to find the support & help they need to stay safe.

28th (Tue)

This week is half term. Pray for young people for whom home life is challenging, & for young carers who are looking after family members & may well have extra responsibilities during the holidays.

29th (Wed)

Pray for the Diocese of Oxford, Portsmouth, & Derby, who are all running their 1st Launchpad cohorts. And for Birmingham Diocese, running their 3rd.

30th (Thu)

Pray for the Research Team, as they make final preparations for the launch of the third report of the Translating God research.

31st (Fri)

The local team are busy working with young people in lots of different ways. Please pray they would be blessed with wisdom, energy, inspiration & patience in all they do.
