We're pulling lots of exciting plans together for Satellites 2022, and inviting some wonderful people to come and join us!

Here's a little sneak peak at a few of our friends who will be joining us during the event - and we've got loads more contributors lined up that we'll be announcing in the coming weeks and months.


Meet the brilliant bunch of youth workers who will be hosting our main meetings at the first ever Satellites this summer!

Lucy Rae

Lucy heads up Saints Youth and is the apprentice chaplain at Saint Mary's Southampton. She's passionate about sustainable fashion and runs a charity shop supporting local charities. She is also passionate about getting a dog as soon as possible!

Jamie Walker

Jamie came into church work as a sports coach and has ended up leading the 0-18's teams at his church, Finchampstead Baptist. Jamie relies on God's power being made perfect in his weakness and loves seeing God's power at work in young people.

Katie Madanat

Katie is a youth worker & student midwife who just really loves Jesus. When she isn't travelling between her homes in the Middle East & West London, you'll find her on long walks with her mum (and a massive bar of chocolate). She's passionate about raising up young leaders, working with her uni to tackle racism in midwifery, and napping. Especially napping.

Martin Saunders

Martin has been working with young people and their leaders for over two decades, and is the author of a number of books - including The Man You’re Made to Be and We Are Satellites. As well as helping run Satellites, he also leads the youth team at St Mary’s Reigate, is married to Jo and they have four children.


Here are a bunch of some of the amazing, top-notch people who are joining us at the first ever Satellites!

Emma Borquaye

Emma Borquaye is a public speaker and founder of the multi-award winning online platform, Girl Got Faith. She pioneers new ways to engage teenage girls with faith, delivers self-esteem workshops in schools across the U.K and is the author of Girl Got Faith's first book which is due for release in July 2021. Emma lives in London with her husband Isaac and their son Ezra.

Guvna B

Isaac Borquaye (known as Guvna B) is a rapper, author, presenter and West Ham supporter! He has released 9 albums and is the recipient of 2 MOBO Awards and 3 Urban Music Awards. Guvna B is an influential voice within British rap music with his inspiring and uplifting lyrics and his views on youth culture. He lives in Greenwich with his wife Emma and their son Ezra.

Andy Croft

Andy helps lead a church in Watford called Soul Survivor Watford. As a teenager, Andy did an internship at Soul Survivor before going on to study Theology at Cambridge. He loves sharing what he’s discovering about Jesus with others. Andy is ordained, he's authored several books and is a CS Lewis superfan. Andy is married to Beth and they have four sons.

Rachel Gardner

Rachel is part of the team at Youthscape and is also President of the Girls Brigade England and Wales. Best selling author for youth and young adults, Rachel is a keen advocate for young people. Rachel and her family are based up in Blackburn, where they lead an intergenerational church plant. She has two kids who currently can’t decide between getting a trampoline or a puppy...!

Aaron Nayagam

Aaron works as part of the Fusion team as one of their Student Mission Developers. He's really passionate about equipping the local church to reach and raise the next generation to know Jesus, and particularly has a heart to invest in the South Asian churches in the UK. As a Scouser, Aaron's an avid supporter of Liverpool FC and also he's declared himself UNO champion!

Mark Oestreicher

Mark Oestreicher (Marko) has written a bunch of books about and for teenagers and young adults, and leads an organisation called The Youth Cartel. He speaks to youth and youth workers all over the world, and spends most of his time trying to help youth workers. He lives with his wife in San Diego, California, and has two young adult kids.

Kiera Phyo

Kiera Phyo works for Archbishop Justin Welby where she is Director of the Reconciling Leaders Network with a vision to mobilise a global movement of peacemakers. Kiera is a regular faith contributor on BBC Radio 2 and previously led Tearfund UK’s youth and young adult engagement.

Miriam Swanson

Miriam is the Director of Fusion USA, an American branch from the UK-based student mission movement. She recently moved from England to live in Florida but helps churches reach young adults all over the world. Miriam is passionate about loving our neighbours, sharing Jesus with our friends and raising young people into all they can be. She's married to Ben and mum to baby Kiah.

Lauren Windle

Lauren is an author, presenter, podcast host and journalist who speaks regularly about her experiences of addiction, faith and dating. She runs a recovery programme for those struggling with addiction and has a Master's in Addiction Studies from King's College London. Her new book 'Notes on Love: Being Single and Dating in a Marriage Obsessed Church' is being released in 2021.

Elle Limebear

Elle is a worship leader, photographer and youth leader based in Brighton. She has a heart to make music for the rising generation and to write songs that her friends who don't yet know Jesus can identify with. As well as featuring on numerous albums, she released her debut solo album 'Lost in Wonder' in 2020. Elle is married to Tom and they've just become parents for the first time!

Laura Hancock

Laura is the National Ministries Director of YFC. She oversees the production of evangelistic and discipleship online resources for 11-18 year olds. Laura is married to Andy, who is the youth pastor at Lifecentral Church, Halesowen.

Pippa Baker

After 6 years working in the advertising industry Pippa followed the Lord’s call to be a full time lay missionary working with the Church all over the UK. Her passion lies in helping the emerging generation follow Jesus daily and worshipping Him with their lives. She helps lead One Hope Project, a worship collective made up of Catholic creatives.

Clare Williams

Clare is the founder of Get Real - a Christian apologetics organisation which addresses questions about Christianity, particularly from the black British community. She has several degrees and has started her PhD journey in theology, focusing upon apologetics and activism. Clare enjoys engaging with questions of culture, truth, identity and the gospel.

Amy Orr-Ewing

Amy Orr-Ewing has spoken across the world on Christian apologetics and theology. She is also the co-founder of REBOOT, a global youth apologetics initiative aimed at helping young people think deeply about faith. Amy lives in Oxford with her husband Frog and they have three boys: JJ, Zach and Benji.

Kate Middleton

Kate is a psychologist with a particular interest in emotional health in the face of adverse circumstances. She's part of the leadership of Headstrong - an online space that exists to support young people’s emotional wellbeing. Kate spends a lot of time explaining that she isn't married to Prince William but enjoys reading about her good dress sense!
