The facilitator training will enable you to confidently deliver each of the 6 Alumina sessions for young people either one to one or in a group in the location where you work. The Alumina course material enables a young person to better understand why they harm, the addictive nature of self-harm, how to communicate when struggles come, self-regulation, developing positive relationships and then empowers young people to use alternative coping strategies. This course is ideal for those working in schools in a PHSE capacity, pastorally, inclusion managers, school counsellors and those in the youth service. All organisations looking to book this course and delegates interested in attending a regional course must have completed the Self-harm Essential Knowledge course as a pre-cursor to the Alumina Facilitator Training.
