Who's it for?
Six times more children and young people in England have mental health conditions than a generation ago, according to a study published in the journal Psychological Medicine in 2018. With many services stretched to the limit, schools, youth workers and other professionals have a vital part to play in supporting young people’s mental health. This course provides an overview of the latest research and key insights into understanding adolescent mental health and brain development. It will also teach you the techniques to develop and encourage healthy resilience skills in the young people you work with. The course includes a range of practical tools and resources that you can use in the classroom, small groups and working 1:1 with a young person.
All delegates receive a training pack containing a range of ready-to-use resources, a certificate of attendance and 10% off all Youthscape resources purchased on the day.
