2024 Programme
Join us for five amazing days at Satellites 2024. Over the next few months we’ll be telling you more about who’s joining us, our venues and, of course, the non-stop programme of creative, sports and surprises we have in store for you.
The Basics
The event runs from 2 – 6th August 2024, however most groups choose to leave on the morning of 7th August because of our final night party!
You can arrive from midday on the 2nd with our first meeting at 7pm that evening. On our last day, 6th August, the event finishes and venues close at 11pm. You’ll need to be offsite by midday on 7th August.
If this is your first time at Satellites, you can get an idea of how the daily programme works by looking back at last year’s programme here.
Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury
Justin is Patron of Youthscape and has been a fantastic supporter of Satellites from the very start.
This year he’ll be joining us in person and sharing in a main session. He has focused his ministry on prayer, reconciliation and evangelism as Archbishop of Canterbury and sees young people as crucial to the life and ministry of the church. Since being appointed in 2013 he has visited hundreds of churches across England and been to every province of the Anglican Communion around the world – a challenge that took 96 days of travelling!
Elle Limebear + band
Elle Limebear is a worship leader, songwriter and artist.
She and her husband Tom, along with their children live in Brighton, England. She has been releasing her own music since 2018 and has written songs that have charted internationally. Spending a large part of her time travelling to serve churches all over the world, Elle is wholeheartedly passionate about seeing people find freedom in Christ. Ellie has been part of the Satellites journey from the beginning and we’re thrilled to have her back at Satellites for 2024.
Father Gregory Boyle
Father Greg is a Jesuit priest who oversees the world’s largest gang intervention project in one of the toughest areas of Los Angeles.
He witnessed the devastating impact of gang violence on his community during the so-called “decade of death” that began in the late 1980s and peaked at 1,000 gang-related killings in 1992. In response Father Greg has developed an amazing community-led programme of small businesses, schools, and healthcare that has transformed thousands of lives. He’ll be joining us at Satellites with some of his ex-gang members.
