Welcome to Youthscape Essentials

This is perhaps the most important training we’ve ever developed as an organisation. It’s a space for you to grow in confidence about helping out at a youth group, or even running one. It’s a space to ask questions, learn new insights and develop new skills. It’s also a space that makes no assumptions about you as a volunteer – your age, your experience, your background.

Everyone has something to offer because young people don’t need programmes, they need people who care about them and who’ll walk a journey of faith with them week by week. That’s an amazing privilege, and one we want to help you understand more about in the coming sessions. All it needs is an openness to learn – about young people and their experiences, but also about yourself and your own faith.

The need is urgent – young people in the church and in our communities are asking deep questions and facing huge challenges. Youth ministry has never been more vital. That’s why we created Youthscape Essentials – and we’re thrilled you’re going to be a part of it.
