We're offering online and in-person training to help you think about innovation and how to integrate it into your youth ministry.

The Youthscape Centre for Innovation is excited to introduce a new and growing range of innovation training courses. If you’ve ever wondered how to think creatively about your youth work practice or wanted to find new ways to meet the needs in your community but don’t know where to start, these courses could be a great investment of your time. They’ll offer continuing professional development opportunities for church and youth leaders, and help you to develop new approaches to your work with young people.

We are launching two brand-new training sessions:

Introduction to Innovation (online)

  • 27th June 2022
  • 2-4pm
  • £30
  • Online via Zoom

Introduction to Innovation is a two-hour online course where we unpack the buzzword ‘innovation’, find out what it really means and explain why it's important. We’ll take you through the tried-and-tested Youthscape Innovation Process, and show you how it might act as a framework for creative development in your context. The session is a mix of taught material and creative activities with exercises you can take away and work on further at your leisure.

Innovation – Going Deeper (in person)

  • 28th June 2022
  • 10am-4pm
  • £50
  • In-person event at Bute Mills, Luton. (NB: Lunch is not included. You can bring your own or make use of the numerous shops a few minutes away in Luton's town centre.)

Innovation – Going Deeper is an in-person, whole-day course where participants are invited to come to our Luton base Bute Mills for a more tailored training experience. We’ll take a closer look at the process we’ve used to develop innovative programme and resources, and look specifically at how to pilot and evaluate your ideas. We’ll also take time to talk through your specific context and needs, and work with you to identify opportunities for innovation in your community. The day will last around 6 hours and will be a mix of teaching, interactive exercise and creative development activities.

The courses will be led by Martin Saunders and Hannah Bradley who lead our innovation work. Book your tickets on this page via the 'add to cart' buttons. If you have any further questions about either of the courses, please contact hannah.bradley@youthscape.co.uk.
