Fearless

Fearless is designed to help students grow in confidence, self-worth and self-respect, with a particular focus on building positive relationships with themselves, others and the world.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Your child has been selected by their school to receive the opportunity to take part in Youthscape’s ‘Fearless’ course. This will happen over six Thursdays at the Youthscape building between 3rd February and 17th March 2022. You will have received further information in your Parent Pack.

‘Fearless’ is designed to help students grow in confidence, self-worth and self-respect, with a particular focus on building positive relationships with themselves, others and the world. Through taking part in ‘Fearless' students will feel empowered to be confident young people who enjoy school and home life and can do well at GCSE level and beyond. Our programme includes both formal teaching and off-site experiential learning as well as a one night residential, giving young people the opportunity to learn both within and outside of classroom settings.

During each ‘Fearless' session the students will explore different themes that develop holistic wellbeing and lead to future success. These themes are: Identity, Facing Fears, Developing Character, Relationships, Communication and Aspiration. Due to current Covid-19 government guidelines for youth work all staff and young people will also be required to adhere to certain restrictions throughout the ‘Fearless’ programme. These are:

  • All staff and young people will need to take a lateral flow test the day before they are due to attend ‘Fearless’ each week, and if it is positive are to remain at home and take a PCR test
  • All staff and young people will need to follow government guidelines
  • All staff and young people will need to follow thorough hygiene procedures

Face coverings are no longer required, however if your child would like to wear one throughout the programme they may do so.
In order for your child to take part in this course we need you to complete the below consent form.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Natasha Jacobs at natasha.jacobs@youthscape.co.uk for Fearless Girls or Reuben Alexander at reuben.alexander@youthscape.co.uk for Fearless Boys.
