Bible Confidence – What It Is And Why We Need It
We know the Bible is trustworthy but do we understand its big story well enough so we can explain it to others? Is biblical literacy realistic for every person we work with? How can the Bible make sense of life for us and young people?
These are just some of the questions the Bible Society help us explore during this online YSE Deep Dive. The session reflects on what research tells us about emerging generations and how they connect with the Bible, and consider the implications this has on our youth ministry. It's not about Bible knowledge but about growing in confidence of how to navigate and engage with scripture.
This is an ideal opportunity to gather your team together and consider implementing simple changes and patterns in your context; to help young people make sense of life through the Bible, grow faith and get to know God better. This session includes pause points for discussion, moments to practice what might work for your youth group and time to reflect on your own leadership.
