Your child has shown interest in our Open House cookery programme. This will take place at the Youthscape building over eight Monday evenings between 23rd May to 18th July 2022. You will have received further information in your Parent Pack.
Open House is designed to give young people the opportunity to learn and develop new skills which will help them grow in confidence and learn how to build meaningful friendships and relationships with others. Over eight weeks those taking part will learn how to cook different dishes, will go out for dinner together at a restaurant, and will host a dinner for others, as well as taking part in different discussion and reflection activities which will strengthen their friendships.
Due to current Covid-19 government guidelines for youth work all staff and young people will also be required to adhere to certain restrictions throughout the Open House programme. These are:
- All staff and young people will need to take a lateral flow test the day before they are due to attend Open House each week, and if it is positive are to remain at home and take a PCR test
- All staff and young people will need to follow thorough hygiene procedures
Face coverings are no longer required, however if your child would like to wear one throughout the programme they may do so.
In order for your child to take part in this course we need you to complete the below consent form. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Gemma Milligan at firstname.lastname@example.org
