Compass is a six-week course designed to help students re-engage with their education and grow in determination, resilience and aspiration.
Dear parents/carers
Your child has been selected by their school to take part in Youthscape’s “Compass” programme. This will run over 6 weeks between Tuesday 16th January and Tuesday 27th February 2024, at the Youthscape building. There will be a week break on Tuesday 20th February as it is half term. You will have received further information in your Parent Pack.
Compass is designed to help students re-engage with their education and grow in determination, resilience and aspiration. Through taking part in “Compass”, students will feel empowered to take responsibility for their lives and to set and reach positive goals, which will help them to do well at GCSE level and beyond. Our programme includes both formal teaching and off-site experiential learning, giving young people the opportunity to learn both within and outside of classroom settings.
During each “compass” session the students will explore different topics that develop a range of skills, including managing emotions, effective communication, and building positive relationships.
In order for your child to take part in this course, we need you to complete the below consent form. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Emily Croucher at Emily.croucher@youthscape.co.uk.
